Webby Humor Letter.
This collection of computer and web advice was started partly because readers demanded an archive, and partly

What is the difference between Quattro 8 and 11 ?
Is is worth the huge difference in price?

I doubt that you would notice the difference,
except in price.
They have run out of features to add a long time ago,
so this year's new feature was EXCEL Help !
Yes, help for their competitor's spreadsheet, to trick
Excel into doing the same stuff that Quattro has been
doing all along.
Aside from that, there are some very minor touch-ups.
For example the HTML Quattro writes when you save
a spread sheet as a web page, is a bit cleaner now.
It worked fine before, but now the source code looks a bit
tidier. Also, integration of spreadsheets into Word and
WordPerfec documents is a hair smoother than it was.
Especially if you are on a budget, get the older version
for $5 and get the current version next year.
