DearWebby is actually Helmut Morscher, the CEO of Webby, inc.
Originally the "Tech Support Pits" were reports of the funniest tech support incidents, but over the years the
column gradually shifted to answering tech support questions put forward by the readers of the Dear
Webby Humor Letter.
This collection of computer and web advice was started partly because readers demanded an archive, and partly
because some questions were asked again and again. Each page has a different day's Tech Support Pits column.

Tech Support Pits column from Dear Webby's Humor Letter of
03/10/04: Date and time
Tech Support Pits:
From Tanya===
Dear Webby,
I used to be a real slob as far s the date and time of the
computer was concerned, until I found out that mail with
the wrong date gets shuffled in way back amongst the
already answered stuff.
After I smartened up, I installed that Time.Exe that you
recommended. While it works just fine in the background,
now that I have become a time freak, I want to have more
elaborate clocks that also show me the time at places
where my friends are. Whatcha got for that ?
Tanya
Dear Tanya
Try WT6. It's "The 'Swiss Army Knife' of world clocks",
with unlimited configurable clocks, each with it's own time
zone, configurable Daylight Saving Time, alarms with
snooze, stop-watches, sun-rise, sun-set, moon phases,
and lots more features that you probably have never even
thought of yet.
You can download it free from
