DearWebby is actually Helmut Morscher, the CEO of Webby, inc.
Originally the "Tech Support Pits" were reports of the funniest tech support incidents, but over the years the
column gradually shifted to answering tech support questions put forward by the readers of the Dear
Webby Humor Letter.
This collection of computer and web advice was started partly because readers demanded an archive, and partly
because some questions were asked again and again. Each page has a different day's Tech Support Pits column.

Tech Support Pits:
From Grace===
Hi, Webby!
I have a question for you... would there be any conflict
if a person has Yahoo and MSN Messenger at the same
time? Not loaded at the same time where you're talking
on both, but just in the system at the same time??
I just knew you would have the answer.. :-)
Thanks, Grace
Dear Grace
Absolutely no conflict or problem.
I use MSN and ICQ simultaneously for tech support, but
every now and then some Yahoo needs help and has only
Yahoo messenger. So I open that one too and have three
different chat programs running at the same time.
No problem at all.
There are some programs like Trillium, intended for people
who can't walk and chew gum at the same time, or who are
scared of opening more than one messenger program at the
same time. Those programs seem to handle simple messages,
but fail miserably when it come to advanced stuff like
transferring files.
Currently you are better off to use the proper programs.
Have FUN
