DearWebby is actually Helmut Morscher, the CEO of Webby, inc.
Originally the "Tech Support Pits" were reports of the funniest tech support incidents, but over the years the
column gradually shifted to answering tech support questions put forward by the readers of the Dear
Webby Humor Letter.
This collection of computer and web advice was started partly because readers demanded an archive, and partly
because some questions were asked again and again. Each page has a different day's Tech Support Pits column.

Tech Support Pits column from Dear Webby's Humor Letter of
06/25/05: Opening Atachments
Tech Support Pits:
From Bonnie===
Dear Webby
I don't know if you can help me or not.....but when I have
a computer problem you're the first one I think of for help.
The last two weeks or so when I get an email with an
attachment in Internet Explorer and go to open it.....
it comes up in IncredMail instead of IE.
I don't know what I did to cause this and I can't, for the
life of me, figure out how to undo it. I'm sure it was some
stupid thing I did but I have no idea how to fix it.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Bonnie
Dear Bonnie
I would Uninstall IncrediMail. It's old-fashioned spyware.
Second best would be to go into the settings in your
mail program and look for the spot where you can choose
which program to use for viewing attachments.
Choose MSIE in that spot.
Have FUN!
