DearWebby is actually Helmut Morscher, the CEO of Webby, inc.
Originally the "Tech Support Pits" were reports of the funniest tech support incidents, but over the years the
column gradually shifted to answering tech support questions put forward by the readers of the Dear
Webby Humor Letter.
This collection of computer and web advice was started partly because readers demanded an archive, and partly
because some questions were asked again and again. Each page has a different day's Tech Support Pits column.

Tech Support Pits column from Dear Webby's Humor Letter of
07/24/03: Drive Size
Tech Support Pits:
From Vern===
===From Vern
Dear Webby
My old computer still runs fine, but it's 2 GB hard drive
is getting too small. What size would you recommend?
Vern===
Dear Vern
You obviously have learned very good and highly
recommendable computer house-cleaning skills !
I would recommend that you keep the 2 GB drive, since
you must have it very well organized and tuned.
Just add a 40 GB drive beside it. That way you
don't have to re-install any software, and you will still
be able to do a virus scan or a defrag in the enviably
short time that you can do it now.
