| DearWebby is actually Helmut Morscher, the CEO of Webby, inc.
Originally the "Tech Support Pits" were reports of the funniest tech support incidents, but over the years the
column gradually shifted to answering tech support questions put forward by the readers of the Dear
Webby Humor Letter.
This collection of computer and web advice was started partly because readers demanded an archive, and partly
because some questions were asked again and again. Each page has a different day's Tech Support Pits column.

09/26/04: How to lower the keyboard height
Tech Support Pits:

I don't know if I can explain my dilemma. My daughter is
helping me after school and on weekends in my home
business. I can't lower the desk because it's actually an
old door bridging two short file cabinets a few feet apart.
Using a stack of pillows on the chair doesn't work well at
all, especially because I have to remove them and toss them
somewhere before I can use the chair. Do you have a
solution that does not cost too much?
Go to Dalco.com
and get yourself an under-desk keyboard drawer for $12.
It lowers the keyboard height enough for your daughter,
and you can lift the keyboard up onto the desk in a second.
