DearWebby is actually Helmut Morscher, the CEO of Webby, inc.
Originally the "Tech Support Pits" were reports of the funniest tech support incidents, but over the years the
column gradually shifted to answering tech support questions put forward by the readers of the Dear
Webby Humor Letter.
This collection of computer and web advice was started partly because readers demanded an archive, and partly
because some questions were asked again and again. Each page has a different day's Tech Support Pits column.

Tech Support Pits column from Dear Webby's Humor Letter of
09/28/04: Copying pictures from flash
Tech Support Pits:
From Mellie===
Dear Webby,
How can I save pictures that are done in Macromedia
Flashplayer 7 ? MSN has got some really good pictures,
but no matter what I try, I can't find a way to save them
to my hard drive. I've tried sending them a few emails,
but I guess they're too busy.
Thanks mellie
Dear Mellie
They are using Flash to make it impossible to copy their
stuff.
However, if you have Paint Shop Pro, or any other good
graphics program, then you can usually take screen shots.
Open the graphics program beside the window where the
flash is. Go to the window with the flash.
Hit ALT PrintScreen when you want to take a shot,
ALT TAB to the open graphics program,
CTRL V to paste the clipping,
ALT TAB to return to the flash
and so on.
Have FUN!
