column gradually shifted to answering tech support questions put forward by the readers of the Dear
Webby Humor Letter.

Dear Webby,
Can you tell me if there is a place where I can tell my
computer to open files with a certain program as a default?
I would like to over-ride the present setting that opens all
my files in the windows picture & fax viewer.

Open the Windows file Explorer
Click on TOOLS
Folder Options
File Types
In there find the file type and
click on the OPEN WITH button to change the
program that is the default for opening it.
