How do i hide the icons so i have a nicer desktop
background? i'm using windows xp home.
Keep up the good work and thanks for all your info.
I wouldn't completely hide the icons. However, you can
probably clean them up by dragging them into a few folders.
Actually, the ugliest part of the icons is usually the text
under them, and the text box color. To make the text box
color transparent, try this:
1. Open the Control Panel
2. Click System
3. Click the Advanced tab
4. Click Settings in the Performance section
5. Check the "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the
6. Click OK until you close the windows
You can shrink the icon size and set the icon text size
and color easily enough. Just right-click on the desktop,
