DearWebby is actually Helmut Morscher, the CEO of Webby, inc.
Originally the "Tech Support Pits" were reports of the funniest tech support incidents, but over the years the
column gradually shifted to answering tech support questions put forward by the readers of the Dear
Webby Humor Letter.
This collection of computer and web advice was started partly because readers demanded an archive, and partly
because some questions were asked again and again. Each page has a different day's Tech Support Pits column.

Tech Support Pits column from Dear Webby's Humor Letter of
11/11/04: Look up site for Koran
Tech Support Pits:
From Sandy===
Dear Sandy
If you mean that naive AOL chain letter that has been
going around for three years, with a fake K-9:11 quote,
it's BS, like all chain letters.
You can read the Koran here:
http://www.wam.umd.edu/~stwright/rel/islam/Quran/
The Koran, as is, is not bad. What is unfortunate is that
it is mostly very vague and open to wildly different
interpretations by people who have been in the hot sun
too long.
Verse 9:11 is here:
http://www.wam.umd.edu/~stwright/rel/islam/Quran/9.html
and it definitely does not mention an eagle:
9:11. But (even so), if they repent, establish regular prayers,
and practise regular charity,- they are your brethren in
Faith: (thus) do We explain the Signs in detail, for those
who understand.
Have FUN!
