DearWebby is actually Helmut Morscher, the CEO of Webby, inc.

Originally the "Tech Support Pits" were reports of the funniest tech support incidents, but over the years the column gradually shifted to answering tech support questions put forward by the readers of the Dear Webby Humor Letter.

This collection of computer and web advice was started partly because readers demanded an archive, and partly because some questions were asked again and again. Each page has a different day's Tech Support Pits column.

Have FUN!

11/19/04: Cheap Collaboration Program

Tech Support Pits:
From Bonita=== Dear Webby, I need a cheap collaboration program. It doesn't have to be high-security, it's just for organizing a wedding and family re-union. Thanks Bonita Dear Bonita You can use a guest-book program. Some are free, but even professional ones are cheap. Use one where you can go back in with a password and edit entries. A bit more expensive are forums. Their main advantage is structure. You can have separate threads and people can just read the one thread that concerns them. Have FUN! DearWebby
